HANOVER, MD / ACCESSWIRE / October 20, 2015 / Brekford Corp. (OTC: BFDI), a leading public safety and security technology service provider of automated traffic safety enforcement ("ATSE") solutions, parking enforcement solutions, and an end-to-end suite of technology equipment for public safety vehicle services, announced today the signing of a multi-year contract with Shinsen Telecom, a company based in Bogota, Colombia that engineers and installs telecommunication networks throughout Colombia.

In keeping with its international strategy, Brekford continues to identify key local partners such as Shinsen, who deploy their business development networks to introduce ATSE and other Brekford public security solutions to municipalities and law enforcement agencies. In addition to sales and marketing efforts, Shinsen will establish an operations hub in Colombia to handle all violation processing, citation printing and mailing, collections, and customer service. Brekford will provide its iP360 Citation Management software suite as well as its proprietary solar powered red light, speed, cell phone, and stop sign cameras for municipalities contracted by Shinsen.

"We are thrilled to launch this relationship with such an established and respected professional firm in Colombia," commented Rod Hillman, President and Chief Operating Officer of Brekford Corp. "Shinsen Telecom exceeds the high standards of integrity, efficiency, and performance we've established as Brekford continues to move forward with international expansion. We learned with our Mexico partner, Grupo Canviso, who was vital in launching our first project earlier this year, that it does not make sense to set up a direct marketing and business development operation in a foreign country with different legal, governmental, and cultural challenges. Local experts understand the market and have a unique stake in promoting public security initiatives for the betterment of their own country. With Shinsen in Colombia, we have replicated this model and are looking forward to significant business expansion in the coming months and years."

C.B. Brechin, Brekford's Chief Executive Officer, added, "Colombia is a natural extension for our ATSE expansion goals in Latin America, and Shinsen is a key partner that will help to make it happen. Brekford intends to leverage our proven record of accomplishment over the past two decades as a leading public safety and security solutions provider to offer the latest ATSE technology to cities throughout the country. We have already spent several months in planning efforts, culminating in an extended live camera demonstration for Colombia's National Transit Police."

Iván Darío Arias, President of Shinsen Telecom, stated, "Shinsen is very pleased to be working with Brekford in bringing technology solutions to promote improved security in Colombia. With a population of more than 48 million citizens and 9.7 million registered vehicles, speeding and other traffic violations are a major public safety concern in our country. Right now we are actively working through our business development network to show our municipal clients the safety and security benefits of our ATSE programs."
