First 4 Cameras Begin Live Enforcement Operations Today

HANOVER, MD--(Marketwired - Apr 14, 2016) - Brekford Corp. (OTCQX: BFDI), a leading public safety and security technology service provider of automated traffic safety enforcement ("ATSE") solutions, parking enforcement solutions, and an end-to-end suite of technology equipment for public safety vehicle services, announced today that red light enforcement operations began in New Rochelle, New York.

An initial set of four cameras went live today, after several weeks of preparation and testing in conjunction with the City's public awareness campaign. Under the terms of the 3-year contract with New Rochelle, Brekford will perform complete turnkey processing services, including violation capture, citation issuance, payment processing, and adjudication support. The Company will receive 35% of each collected $50 fine.

The program is designed to prevent accidents and injuries caused by red light running, which affects both drivers and pedestrians at busy intersections within the City. Violations are captured and processed by Brekford's iP360 citation management system, then mailed to registered vehicle owners after verification and approval by the New Rochelle Police Department. New Rochelle is authorized by New York State Law to install red light systems at the approaches to 12 intersections, with a potential total of 30 cameras during the life of the contract. Brekford will work closely with the City in the coming months as they prioritize locations for future installs.

Rod Hillman, President and COO of Brekford, said, "We are excited to support the City of New Rochelle in operating a highly efficient and transparent ATSE program intended to reduce accidents and save lives. With our latest generation of non-intrusive red light cameras, our highly acclaimed iP360 citation management system, and our turnkey program support services, we are confident that New Rochelle will be pleased with the safety benefits. We are seeing increased interest across the U.S. and in Latin America in our ATSE solutions, which have unique capabilities to maximize violation capture rates. Our latest generation of red light and speed cameras offer stand-alone operation with solar/battery power, wireless violation transfer, remote configuration, and remote monitoring. We have also developed a specialized distracted driving camera that captures cell phone and seat belt usage violations, and we expect initial systems to be deployed in Mexico in the third quarter of this year."

Hillman added, "Brekford continues to emphasize our foundation as a public safety solutions provider. Our ATSE systems are developed by Brekford engineers and manufactured in the U.S., which translates to continuous technology enhancements and lower costs for our customers."
