Brekford Corp. expands into Traffic Photo Enforcement Industry

HANOVER, Md., April 1, 2010 -- Brekford Corp. (OTCBB:BFDI), a leading homeland technology service provider of fully integrated vehicle installations and rugged technology solutions, is expanding its capabilities into the traffic photo enforcement industry. According to photoenforced.com, the U.S. photo enforcement industry is projected to be doing an estimated $150M per year in revenue and total available market could be 35,000 intersections in the near future, which would make it a nearly $1B industry in the U.S. alone.

Brekford is excited to announce its new Automated Traffic Enforcement Program, spearheaded by Maurice Nelson. In his new role, Mr. Nelson will be responsible for leading Brekford into the automated traffic safety industry throughout the United States. Brekford has decided to launch its own technological traffic photo enforcement solution, as well as opening its brand new software, processing and call center under the Brekford Automated Traffic Enforcement Group.

Mr. Nelson comes to Brekford with 11 years of automated traffic enforcement experience which includes implementing two of the largest and most successful speed enforcement camera programs in the United States (Montgomery County, MD and Washington, DC). Most recently, Mr. Nelson served as the Director of the Montgomery County Police Program, where he oversaw a county wide Red Light Camera Program. Within the first two and a half years of his leadership, the program reduced the incidents of aggressive speeding while acquiring nearly $35M in revenue.

Prior to joining Montgomery County Police, Mr. Nelson worked for Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) as a Senior Program Manager responsible for implementation of the nationally recognized Washington, DC speed camera program. Under Mr. Nelson's oversight, the DC program grossed nearly $27M annually for the city's traffic safety efforts. Mr. Nelson's charisma and expertise have afforded him the opportunity to represent the Automated Enforcement industry on key legislative issues. He was instrumental in crafting the automated speed enforcement program in Charlotte, North Carolina and provided legislative testimony for NC, MD and DC governing councils. Mr. Nelson's experience in legislation along with his congressional testimony has been the essential factor to the adoption of the first speed camera legislation in the State of Maryland (Montgomery County). This continued legislative work ultimately resulted in what is now a fully adopted statewide law.

C.B. Brechin, CEO of Brekford Corp., said "the combination of Brekford's experience and relationship with law enforcement, along with Mr. Nelson's extensive knowledge in the

automated traffic enforcement sector is essential to the success of Brekford's new photo enforcement program. I am confident to have Mr. Nelson head such a program and I know that Brekford will develop one of the preeminent photo enforcement solutions to make our intersections safer. Brekford is committed to our relationship with public safety agencies and the communities we serve.
